🏆 Congratulations to our 2025 CGA Mid-Amateur Match Play Champion, Zach Gomez! After a summer-long single-elimination bracket featuring 64 of Colorado’s top mid-amateur golfers, Gomez emerged victorious—winning his final match at Cherry Hills Country Club with a 3&2 finish over Matthew Zions. Zions earned his spot in the championship match earlier that morning with a 2&1 semifinal victory over Ryan Axlund, setting up an exciting final showdown at Cherry Hills. Zach shared, “I was up in all of my matches leading up until the finals,” which helped relieve a lot of the pressure throughout the season long event.
