Help us give a HUGE Lopes Welcome to the newest addition to our coaching staff — Leonardo Borjas Jr.! Coach Leo will be joining the GCU Cheer family as our Skills Coach! With over 10+ years of coaching experience across all star, high school, and collegiate levels, Leo brings extensive expertise in tumbling, building, and routine composition. He’s a former athlete for CheerForce OC, OC All Stars, Cheer Athletics, and Navarro College—earning multiple NCA titles, Worlds medals, and an NCA Grand National Championship. A proud Weber State alum, Leo is a two-time USA Partner Stunt Champion, 2025 reigning UCA Partner Stunt Champion, and multi-time NCA National and Grand National Champion—all achieved while pursuing his degree in Psychology with a minor in Child and Family Studies. On top of that, Leo is a two-time US National Team member and is currently coaching at Dauntless Athletics here in Gilbert, AZ. #GoLopes 💜⚡️
