Temple Station recently received a call for service regarding a theft from a grocery store. Deputies responded and were surprised to find out that groceries were not stolen, but an electric wheelchair belonging to the store was stolen. A proactive Field Training Officer and a deputy currently on training, responded and were able to locate the suspect. Thankfully, a vehicle pursuit did not ensue as it was not very fast. The suspect was arrested and booked for grand theft. Please remember that if you steal in Temple City, you will be arrested and prosecuted. Make good choices.
