Have you ever seen a historical Korean drama set during the Silla Dynasty (668 - 935 CE)? If so, youโ€™ve already been introduced to beautiful and historic Gyeongju, where this yearโ€™s Spring Conference for the English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program was held. Gyeongju was the capital of the Silla Dynasty and one of the five largest cities in the world at its height. Today, the Gyeongju Historic Areas make up a UNESCO World Heritage site full of gorgeous Buddhist art and remains of temples and palaces. During Spring Conference, ETAs were able to explore the historical importance and natural beauty of sites such as Bulguksa Temple, Woljeonggyo Bridge, and the Gyeongju National Museum alongside more modern attractions like Gyeongju World amusement park and numerous cafes. We hope you can visit Gyeongju soon. Enjoy these snapshots in the meantime!
