It’s been approximately 6 months since we concluded our intensive Korean Language course for our English Teaching Assistant (ETA) grantees. This past February, 2022 English Teaching Assistant (ETA) grantees were recognized for their hard work in acquiring Korean skills over a five-week private course completed with Korea University’s Korean Language Center (KU KLC). Each class had an Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Effort Award recipient, and all ETAs received completion certificates. The ceremony also featured a range of ETA performances highlighting their language abilities, including a rendition of the traditional folk song Arirang! Since leaving Orientation, our ETAs have continued to use their Korean language skills and have spent time learning more Korean to enrich their time in Korea.
