Last month, after 10 months of teaching and cultural exchange, the ETA grant year came to an end. Some ETAs will be returning to teach in Korea this year, while others are moving on to next steps in the United States or elsewhere. Before everyone parted ways, more than 50 grantees gathered for a Final Lunch at the Dragon Hill Lodge in Yongsan, Seoul on December 10th. The first end-of-the-year gathering since 2019, ETAs reminisced over a year of growth, watched stellar grantee performances, and chatted over a delicious buffet of American holiday classics. We hope everyone has had a great start to 2024 and wish everyone a full and bright year! 지난 12월을 끝으로 풀브라이트 원어민 영어교사(ETA) 장학생들이 한국에서의 시간을 갈무리하게 되었습니다. 정든 학생들과 익숙해진 한국 생활을 마무리하게 된 것인데요. ETA는 10개월동안 학생들이 영어, 미국 문화, 미국 사람을 보다 많이 이해할 수 있도록 누구보다 열심히 노력했고, 양국의 가교 역할을 성실히 수행하며 문화 대사로서의 역할도 최선을 다해 수행했습니다. 프로그램 종료를 기념해 작년 말, 모든 ETA가 서울에서 함께 모여 한 해의 마침표를 찍었습니다. 다양한 공연과 미국의 전통 명절 음식도 빠질 수 없었겠지요? 2년차에도 ETA로서 발걸음을 선택한 장학생도 있고, 미국에 돌아가는 장학생도 있습니다...
