A man convicted of raping Gisele Pelicot has had his appeal rejected by a French Court and been handed a longer jail term. ⁣ ⁣ Gisele Pelicot, the 72-year-old Frenchwoman who was at the centre of a mass rape trial last year returned to court on Wednesday after one of the men still denied assaulting her. ⁣ ⁣ Her former husband Dominique Pelicot admitted to drugging Gisele and inviting dozens of strangers to rape and abuse her over a decade. He and the other 50 convicted men accepted their sentences. ⁣ ⁣ The 44-year-old appellant was seeking to blame Pelicot’s husband for orchestrating the situation despite more 100 photographs and various video footage of the two men raping the victim. ⁣ ⁣ "I wanted to stop. At one point, I became very suspicious. I continued because he reassured me," he told the court. "He's the manipulator, not me.
