Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Valerie Madonia
This week, we are honored to feature Valerie Madonia, former Joffrey Ballet dancer, director, and master teacher whose career reflects both artistic excellence and a deep dedication to preserving the Joffrey legacy. Valerie has performed leading roles with The Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, and American Ballet Theatre, and has appeared as a guest artist with Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, Complexions, and Armitage Gone! Dance.
Her performing career culminated in a celebrated appearance with the New York Philharmonic in Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat, showcasing her range and expressive artistry. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Valerie has since become a guiding force in dance education.
