Legacy Week Faculty Spotlight: Cameron Basden This week, we are honored to feature Cameron Basden, former Joffrey Ballet dancer, muse to Gerald Arpino, and lifelong advocate for the preservation and growth of the Joffrey legacy. During her years with The Joffrey Ballet, Cameron originated roles under Arpino’s direction and performed in a wide range of works that embodied the company’s signature blend of tradition and innovation.⁠ ⁠ After her performing career, Cameron continued to shape the field as Ballet Master and Co-Associate Director of The Joffrey Ballet, staging repertory across the globe and ensuring that the artistry of Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino would live on for future generations.
