Messier 106 — one of my favorite deep sky captures to date. This stunning spiral galaxy, located about 22 million light-years away, was imaged from my remote telescope at Starfront Observatories. If you look closely, the frame is teeming with dozens of other distant galaxies scattered throughout the background — each one a vast island of stars.
