Doctoral candidate Skylar Simpson spent the summer working in the psychiatry department at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Her interest in mental health was sparked by her very first fieldwork mentor, Salvador (Sal) Chávez Guerrero (’16, MSOT ’17), at El Camino Hospital. From that early inspiration to real-world impact, Skylar’s occupational therapy journey continues with a strong commitment to giving back to the San Francisco communities that helped shape her path. #ThisIsDUC
