This Pacific day octopus (Octopus cyanea) was all curiosity when one of our remote underwater cameras dropped in for a visit to its reef home in Tuvalu. Pacific day octopuses are capable of changing the color, pattern, and even texture of their skin! They are a joy to watch, and we love observing them on our scientific expeditions. #WorldOctopusDay
