I skated over 3,000 miles across this country and discovered that people are inherently good. Strangers gave me the change from their purse, the shirts off their backs, and invited me into their homes for dinner. They cheered me on from sidewalks, gas stations, and small-town diners. Every gesture, no matter how small, reminded me how much good still exists in the world. This journey showed me that our differences don’t define us, our humanity does.
