So happy for my Indian friends !🥳 ISRO has made public today the names of their first 4 astronauts, and after bumping into them behind the scenes a few times 🤫, I’m thrilled they received their astronaut wings from isro.dos and the leadership of India, it’s well deserved, they’re great people! Prasanth Nair, Angad Prathap, Ajit Krishnan and Shubanshu Shukla all come from the Indian air force and their backgrounds as test pilots, as well as training with #ISRO and other space agencies prepares them to handle the challenges of future space missions -no doubt that India also has many valide female candidates and we will see them in the other selections to come. India is really making big strides in space exploration today, and like all major powers they’ve laid out ambitious plans for low earth orbit and the moon.
