Fresh data from space! 🌍 EUMETSAT has just shared the first look at data from the Meteorological Imager (METimage) aboard the MetOp-SG-A1 satellite — launched earlier this year. This advanced instrument observes clouds, land, sea and ice, providing key insights into weather forecasting, nowcasting, and climate monitoring. The mission is a joint effort: we are responsible for the design and development of the satellite, while @eumetsatmedia manages the launch services, ground segment, satellite operations and distribution of data to the meteorological community, with @dlr_spaceagency / @dlr.en providing METimage, one of the many instruments on board the spacecraft.
