Here are a few cosmic wonders captured by @hubbleesa and @esawebb that call Virgo home: 1. NGC 4535: Known as the “Lost Galaxy”, this barred spiral glows with both hot young stars and cooler ancient ones. 2. NGC 4298 & NGC 4302: A galactic duo caught mid-zoom. 3. M87: A giant elliptical galaxy, home to trillions of stars, 13 000 star clusters, and a jet from its central black hole blasting near light-speed. 4. Arp 274 (NGC 5679): Three galaxies caught in a cosmic close encounter, two of them bursting with newborn stars. 5. 3C 273: The first quasar ever identified — brighter than whole galaxies, and still the brightest quasar in our skies. 6. NGC 5775: A thin, edge-on spiral showing off a halo of hot gas — a galactic fountain driven by star formation. 7. NGC 5068: A barred spiral where Webb has peered through dust to witness stars for...
