Eid Mubarak! 🌙 As the crescent Moon marks the end of Ramadan, millions around the world come together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr. But imagine seeing the Moon like this! astro_paolo had an extraordinary view from aboard the iss, capturing these breathtaking images of our natural satellite as it rises above Earth’s atmosphere. The atmospheric refraction creates a mesmerising effect, making the Moon appear distorted and squished. Science at its most stunning! To everyone celebrating, we wish you joy, peace, and prosperity on this special occasion. Eid Mubarak! 📸 europeanspaceagency / NASA - astro_paolo
