From 4-10 October, people in over 90 countries will gather to celebrate the UN-declared World Space Week— the largest space event on Earth. It’s a global moment that shows the power of space to inspire and unite. This year’s theme: Living in Space. That might bring up visions of human settlements on the Moon or your favourite sci-fi series, but it’s also a reminder that the technologies needed to survive in space are already transforming life here on Earth.
