🌠🚗 Imagine racing down a highway at night with no rules, no headlights, and thousands of other drivers you can't see. This is what our orbits look like but there is some hope to avoid this situation, as systems exist that provide space situational awareness and tracking services. At the Legal Subcommittee of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (#COPUOS2025), #UNOOSA hosted a side event on 6 May, entitled "𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰: 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?".
