🌕🇺🇳 At number 2 of our 2024 highlights, we have the first UN Conference on Sustainable Lunar Activities and the agreement in COPUOS to establish ATLAC (Action Team on Lunar Activities Consultation). 1️⃣🔑 Key takeaways from the International Lunar conference included the need for: 🛰️ Transparency in all lunar activities to build trust among nations.   🗣️ Dedicated international platforms for consultations among stakeholders. 🇺🇳 Immediate and creative solutions to share information through COPUOS and/or #UNOOSA and preserve the safety of upcoming lunar missions. 2️⃣🌚 On ATLAC, COPUOS agreed to establish the Action Team on Lunar Activities Consultation in accordance with the proposal submitted by 🇷🇴  and co-sponsored by 🇦🇹, 🇧🇪, Bulgaria 🇧🇬, 🇩🇪, 🇵🇱, 🇵🇹, 🇰🇷, and 🇨🇭.
