(L) shows a standard view in visible light, highlighting clouds & land surfaces (R) Reveals much finer detail of atmosphere’s composition, such as subtle cloud structures over Italy/particles due to wildfire smoke on the right over Greece 3MI is Europe’s first operational polarimeter in space, a result of 15+ years of collaboration. Its early snapshots show wildfire smoke over Southern Europe and rainbow cloud formations over Peru and Chile - marking a new era in how we see monitor aerosols from space 🛰
