For example, the Axiom 3 mission, in which my colleague Marcus from Sweden participated, was initially planned for 14 days, i.e. two weeks, but it extended to 20 days due to weather conditions that prevented the return to Earth 🌏 Regardless of the duration of the Polish mission, the time on the space station will surely be well-spent on conducting scientific experiments, various technological demonstrations, and will also have educational and media parts to promote the mission. However, colleagues from the core team of astronauts typically embark on missions to the space station lasting six months and these are long-term missions, during which additional duties arise, such as significant physical training, maintaining the space station in proper condition, as well as performing various repairs or equipment replacements...
