“With great power comes great responsibility” 🕷 1 August is @spiderman Day and we’re swinging into action to celebrate the amazing @marvel superhero with this cosmic spectacle! This mind-blowing image showcases the Spiderweb Galaxy, a massive galaxy in the process of formation. Just like our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, this celestial body is growing stronger by combining its power with others. The @hubleesa observations of the Spiderweb Galaxy reveal dozens of star-forming satellite galaxies in the process of merging. This breathtaking scene is a testament to the wonders of our universe and the incredible work of scientists and astronomers. 📸 @NASA, @europeanspaceagency, G. Miley and R.
