Celebrating #WorldHeartDay by honoring brave little hearts like Dylan's. At just 8 days old, Dylan was diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta. Things escalated quickly as he was rushed by ambulance from his pediatrician’s office to Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware where his family was devasted to learn the severity of his situation. Dylan’s mom Kimberly says, “Nemours Children’s had everything; the facility, medicines, and entire staff that we needed to make us feel that we were in the best place for Dylan to receive the care he so desperately needed. To make a full recovery, Dylan underwent three open-heart surgeries and two minor procedures. As a parent, you never expect to find yourself and your children in this type of situation. We are so grateful that we have access to this level of support so close to our home.
