One person is in the hospital after a fire broke out at a twin home down the street from Northeast Philadelphia Airport, according to the city's fire department. The Philadelphia Fire Department was called out to the 9400 block of Kirkwood Road in Northeast Philly shortly after 1:45 p.m. Friday. Firefighters placed the blaze under control at 2:27 p.m. Chopper 3 was over the scene, showing that most of the duplex had collapsed with charred debris.
