October 11th is National Day of Rest for Us and on that day, I want us to remember that the race we perpetually run is a relay. We have the ability to give ourselves permission to drop, pass, or hold the baton while we put our feet up knowing that closing our eyes doesn’t mean the work disappears.
If anything is guaranteed in this life for us, it’s that there will always be work. And if a tree falls in a forest but there’s no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?
Hold onto yourself as tightly as you grip that baton and be determined not to let go.
But if you must, take solace in knowing millions of hands outstretch to catch you and pour the love you give back into
You.
Love to you and our communities 🤎
