“Service gives me energy,” says Taylor Pelava, a biomedical physics and Spanish major from Hastings, Minnesota. As a team leader for the Schlegel Center for Service and Justice and coordinator for Campus Ministry’s Fall Adventure Retreat, Taylor finds balance in helping others, especially when life gets hectic. “During stressful times, it reminds me to slow down and focus on what really matters: faith, community and gratitude,” she says.
