Study Abroad Spotlight: Grant Peterson ’27 – New Zealand 🇳🇿 Meet Grant Peterson, an engineering science major with a minor in mathematics and physics from Boulder, Colorado. This semester, he’s studying in Auckland, New Zealand, a decision made easy by the country’s natural beauty. “New Zealand may be fairly small, but the number of climate zones and natural splendor for its land area is hard to beat,” Grant says. In addition to courses in thermodynamics, modern physics, statistics, and material science, he has appreciated New Zealand’s unique academic style, which emphasizes major projects and final exams. Outside the classroom, he has enjoyed exploring local restaurants and spending time with new friends from the IFSA study abroad program and the Navigators, a Christian group on his campus.
