China is targeting America’s critical infrastructure, says former NSA Director Gen. Tim Haugh. “They are just gaining access to that system and then attempting to lay dormant. They're not spending more time collecting intelligence or taking other activities,” explains Haugh. He believes China is prepositioning for a future crisis or conflict. China denies the hacking. Only one utility affected would talk to 60 Minutes: Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments. China hacked into the utility’s computer system in the small Massachusetts town. They were stopped before they could gain operational control over chemicals that could have been used to poison the water supply, according to general manager Nick Lawler. Lawler said he is speaking out about the threat so America can understand the danger. #china #cybersecurity #NSA #nationalsecurity
