My sweet baby Elle 💛 ..... I found this beautiful vintage outfit in an old trunk that belonged to my Grandmother a few years ago when I moved into her old house. I never remember going through the trunk when I was younger but when I started sorting through it, I came across this outfit as well as a few other clothing items, shoes and photos. I believe that the outfit belongs to my Grandmother's first child-- Susan. She became sick and tragically passed away at the young age of 2 and just a year before my Mom was born. My Grandmother and I had such a close and tight bond. It's hard to put into words how much of a connection we had. She shared a lot with me when she was alive and told me so many stories but we never really talked about Susan. When I looked at this outfit a few weeks ago and thought about Elle and how she was big enough to wear it this year, I cried. It's like enduring the pain that she must have felt more than 70 years ago. I cannot imagine anyone going through...
