Saturday night, after a few beverages (as one does), I decided to make a touchdown parlay — which, if you know me, I never do. I’m not a touchdown bettor; I stick to props and spreads. But I was feeling spicy, threw one together, and couldn’t figure out why the odds looked so good on DraftKings. I even posted it online like a proud degenerate… and someone commented, “Did you mean to put first touchdown scorer?” Cue my panic.
Cut to Sunday: the Jags are driving, I get the alert — BTJ scores first. Then Taysom Hill hits. The two hardest legs smacked instantly, and suddenly I’m watching like I just cracked the betting matrix. By halftime, Dowdell scores. Going into the late games, I only needed Jacobs and Jeanty. Boom — it cashes. Ten bucks to win $1,700 on a promo-boosted bet.
And before anyone starts unit-shaming me — don’t. DraftKings literally limited the wager. I didn’t outsmart Vegas, I tripped and fell into glory. Best “mistake” I’ve made in weeks.
