It’s an incredible privilege to be recognized in Los Angeles by Jabali Academy with the Septima Clark Educational Advancement Award. This award is a testament not just to my efforts with my Bullard Family Foundation and the various partnerships that allow us to achieve transformational change and giving in excellence, but to the powerful work Jon Carroll & Jabali Academy is doing. They are creating a space where the richness of African American history is not just preserved but actively taught and celebrated.
