It’s #VetTechAppreciationWeek, and we’re shining a spotlight on the three incredible veterinary technicians, Joy, Erica and Candace, who help care for the animals at the Detroit Zoo. 🩺🐾 Working mostly behind the scenes, these highly skilled professionals assist with everything from routine health checks and complex medical procedures to emergency care and daily treatments. They are a vital part of the animal care team, collaborating closely with veterinarians and zookeepers to ensure that every animal — from the tiniest tree frog to the largest rhino — receives the highest standard of care. Their attention to detail, compassion and dedication help keep the animals healthy, comfortable and thriving. We’re so grateful for the work they do every single day. Thank you for being champions of animal wellness — we couldn’t do it without you. 💚 #DetroitZoo #VetTechWeek #ZoologicalMedicine #BehindTheScenesCare
