The Steward School’s world-class athletic facilities directly reflect the school’s commitment to physical activity, fitness, and skill development. For outdoor sports, Steward’s campus in the Far West End of Richmond, Virginia boasts eight full-size tennis courts and four 36-foot tennis courts as well as four athletic fields for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and baseball. The baseball field made Steward history in 2013 by winning the Field of the Year award from the Sports Turf Managers Association. This prestigious award is a first of its kind for Steward, and it is the result of hard work in maintaining the field. In May 2014, the private school made history once again when the varsity baseball team won the VISAA DII state tournament. The 44,300-square-foot Athletic Center is the place to go for volleyball, basketball, futsal, cheerleading, and weight training.
