The Center on Colfax’s new CEO, Kim Salvaggio, joined Colorado Matters Senior Host, Ryan Warner, for a free-flowing conversation on Pride fundraising, policing, advocacy and resiliency. “My background is in inclusivity. I feel it is my responsibility to hear what communities are asking for, and to work the best that I can for repair,” said Salvaggio. Kim discussed some of the toughest topics facing LGBTQ+ people today, and sent an empowering message to the community. “This isn’t new to us. It’s not new to face different legislation and different things that are trying to push us back in time. The queer community—we’re not going anywhere. We’re here. We’re resistant. We’re resilient. I think it’s all about how we come together and realize that our liberation is linked together.” Listen to the full CPR interview through the link in our bio.
