We are thrilled to announce that Joy Iwancio (she/her) has been promoted to Director of Transgender Services!🎉⁠ ⁠ Joy has been with The Center for over two years now, working as a Support Group Coordinator before moving into her new position. She has made significant contributions to the Transgender Program, implementing monthly social and educational programming in addition to helping organize and run the program’s 14 recurring support groups.⁠ ⁠ Joy attended her first support group 30 years ago in Baltimore and remains friends with some folks from that group today. She remembers how difficult it was to attend her first meeting and uses her experience to welcome new attendees to support groups and events at The Center.
