Today is Hoshana Rabbah, a joyful and meaningful capstone to Sukkot that beautifully weaves together the themes of repentance, renewal, harvest, and hope.
The Upper Division marked the day with their traditional Hoshana Rabbah gathering:
📖Tefillah
🍋Shaking the Lulav
🎶Hakafot (singing and marching with the Torah)
🕺Dancing
🌿Beating the willow branches (a symbolic ritual that represents the Fall season and the time we start praying for rain. The leaves also represent our sins or bad experiences and as they fall of, we start anew)
🥯Eating a delicious breakfast
This morning’s celebration carried even deeper significance as we joined in collective gratitude for the safe return of 20 hostages to their families in Israel last night after two years in captivity.
Our students’ voices, energy, and spirit reflected a powerful sense of unity, pride, hope, and revival, embodying the very themes that Hoshana Rabbah represents.
