Because dumpling skirts shouldn’t only be for dumplings… this spicy tuna tartare with a lacy skirt is A DREAM, and it’s so much easier to make than you’d think! 🔥🐟🥑⬇️
You’ll need:
Sushi grade tuna
Avocado
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Kewpie mayo
Skirt: 1/2 cup water, 1 tsp cornstarch, 1 tsp flour, salt
To make:
1. Cut tuna into cubes, then mix with mayo, sriracha, a tad of sesame oil and soy sauce, then pop it in the fridge.
2. Work on your skirt: whisk together water, cornstarch, flour and a pinch of salt. When nicely dissolved, pour mixture into a hot skillet over medium/low heat with a bit of oil in it. Then cover and cook until liquid is gone and you have a golden, lacy cracker.
3. Remove tuna from fridge, and assemble on a plate with cubed avocado, then once the lacy skirt has cooled down enough, carefully transfer it on top of the tartare.
Enjoy!!!!
