Luft 11 Durham Stories 003: Center Campus It doesn’t get more Durham than Liggett & Myers, with their original no.42 factory just around the corner from the ATC. So we did as one might in the center of the campus and ushered in a small 70’s tent revival fit for the 917/10. 

Several infrequently asked questions were answered along the way. Would a 356 fit through a double door? How about Le Mans 906 prototype? Could an original 550 Spyder be placed inside a boiler room? In its all-consuming lust for speed, could the 917 get any lower? 

At several moments, correct answers still outstanding, we were ready to blow the whistle. In the words of Sir William, “All’s well that ends well.”  mobil1 owned the marquee and unveiled more surprises around the corner of the boiler room.
