The Bucs got a huge boost on Thursday as wide receiver Mike Evans made his return to practice for the first time since Week 3.
After missing time with a hamstring injury, the Bucs’ all-time leading receiver returned to practice — a huge boost for Baker Mayfield and Tampa Bay’s offense heading into Week 7.
Pewter Report was on site to review how Evans looked while participating in warmup drills and catching some passes to the session of practice that's available to the media.
Bucs head coach Todd Bowles and quarterback Baker Mayfield also commented on what they saw from Evans and what it does for the offense to have him back in the lineup.
Evans has been one of the most consistent and dominant receivers in the league for more than a decade — and his return could be exactly what Tampa Bay needs with other receivers out as they look to maintain their spot at the top of the NFC conference.
