The newest members of CHS learned more about what it means to be a part of our Jesuit school community Wednesday as the Class of 2029 experienced its Freshman Retreat.
The one-day retreat is based on the Jesuit pillar of Cura Personalis (care of the whole person) and is run by our Campus Ministry program and CHS upperclassmen. Students spend time during the retreat engaging in various activities, which included exploring the Our Lady of Victory National Shrine and Basilica in Lackawanna.
The retreat began in Scaccia Auditorium, where students applauded the seniors who volunteered to help lead the retreat before a great presentation by Fr. Brendan Gottschall, S.J., Assistant Vocation Director for the East Coast Province of the Jesuits.
