Rest in Peace to an R&B / Soul legend, D’Angelo 🕊️
D’Angelo was born February 11th, 1974 in Richmond, VA. He died at the age of 51 years old today after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
He formed the music group “The Soulquarians” in the late 90s and early 2000s, alongside J Dilla and Questlove of The Roots, and produced music for Erykah Badu, Mos Def, Q-Tip, Common, Slum Village, and more.
His two solo albums “Brown Sugar” and “Voodoo” are some of the most impactful in the genre, and I highly recommend taking a listen to both if you haven’t already.
