today is #SpiritDay and I’m really glad I’m here 🤍 I never could have imagined growing up in Tennessee that one day I’d stand on the stage at the Stonewall Inn — the very place where people once fought for the right to simply be themselves — and sing my heart out for National Coming Out Day. 🌈 It’s wild to think how far we’ve come… and how far we still have to go. There were so many moments I thought I’d have to hide who I was just to survive — moments when my queerness felt like something to shrink instead of something to celebrate. But standing there, surrounded by so much love, I felt the truth of what it means to be seen, to belong, to come home to yourself. If you’re still on your way there — if you’re still finding the courage to be who you are — I see you. You are not alone. Your story is still unfolding.
