ChatGPT is turning up the heat and will generate "erotica for adults," starting in December. The move comes more than a year after OpenAI said it was exploring how to let people create NSFW content in age-appropriate contexts through its API and ChatGPT. OpenAI will first release a new version of ChatGPT that features more personality, including human-like responses, emoji, or friend-like role-playing, depending on user preference. The ability to generate erotica (sexual written stories and imagery) will follow in December. By then, OpenAI plans to have rolled out its "age-gating more fully," including an automatic age-verification system to block mature topics from teens.
