Isamu Noguchi: ‘I gyrate between today and yesterday and tomorrow […] we don’t only live in today, but we live in the past too.’
Watch Noguchi in conversation with Buckminster Fuller in a clip from ‘Isamu Noguchi’ (1972), directed by Michael Blackwood.
Noguchi (1904–88) was one of the most significant artists of the 20th century; his life and work still stand as a visionary example of cultural synthesis between Eastern and Western aesthetic traditions. Born to a Japanese father, a poet, and an American mother, an educator and editor, the artist moved between different cities, traditions, and intellectual worlds.
Visit the exhibition until 18 October 2025. 🔗Click the link in our bio to learn more.
