Tastes like ham and eats like pulled pork. Finished with a sweet BBQ glaze, this one was delicious.
I seasoned the ham with my AP rub and smoked it at 225 until it hit 160 internal. Took about 4 hours. Next, place it in a foil pan on a wire rack, add apple or orange juice, wrap tightly in foil and place back on the smoker until it’s probe tender. I bumped the temp to 300 degrees, and it took about 3 hours.
And finally, remove the foil and glaze the ham with a mix of BBQ sauce, butter, brown sugar, and honey. Cook for a few minutes to let the sauce set, remove, rest for 30 minutes and shred.
If you never had shredded ham you are missing out. Save this recipe and give it a try.
