Manchester Pride has responded to accusations they have not paid artists that performed at their events. Rupaul’s Drag Race UK 6 contestant Zahirah Zapanta took to their Instagram stories earlier this week to accuse Manchester Pride of not paying them. They said: "It is deeply dissapointing to share that Manchester Pride has failed to pay me, along with many other artists who performed at the events. "We believe that artists deserve fair and timely compensation for their work and contributions to the Pride celebrations". In response, Manchester Pride put out a statement on Thursday (16 October) which read: "We recognise that there has been a period of silence from us, while we have taken legal and financial advice. "Manchester Pride is currently in the process of determining the best way forward with our legal and financial advisers.
