“Don’t stress so much, you’ll be fine, you have good grades.” It takes everything for me not to roll my eyes at those words. This is how almost all of my conversations about college go with adults — whether it’s teachers, parents or other family members.  The conversation always starts with a simple question about what colleges I’m interested in or what major I plan on pursuing. Inevitably, the interaction boils down to the applications and my concerns about requirements, deadlines and being a competitive applicant.
