Our rodeo grounds may host horse trailers and roughstock cowboys’ campers during the second week of June, but right now they’re playing host to some of the most important people in our community: our firefighters. The Flat Fire is located two miles northeast of Sisters and is 21,791 acres large. Firefighters have been working relentlessly around the clock since last Thursday. From dozer to hand lines to aerial crews - THANK YOU! A community meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 25, at 6:00 pm at the Sisters High School. Level 1, 2 and 3 evacuations remain in effect under the direction of the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
