Grand Marshal Spotlight: Mike Shepherd The Sisters Rodeo Association is honored to announce Mike Shepherd as the 2025 Grand Marshal! A dedicated member of our rodeo family for over two decades, Mike first lent a hand back in 2004, helping out at the chit booth, and has since become an integral part of the Sisters Rodeo community. A retired cowboy and farrier, Mike's passion for the Western way of life and his commitment to our event's success shine through in everything he does. Originally from California and the Great Basin, Mike's called Oregon home for the past 27 years - nurturing lifelong friendships and deep roots in our community. His love for the rodeo is evident, with Saddle Bronc being his favorite event for the athleticism and grit it celebrates. Over the years, he's witnessed and contributed to many exciting changes - from innovations at the beer booth to improvements in event management - all while keeping the true spirit of rodeo alive.
